80th Anniversary of the Liberation of Belsen
As we draw nearer to the 80th anniversary of the Liberation of Belsen we thank all the contributors that have been in touch to continue to build this archive.
We set this archive up for 75th anniversary of the Liberation of Belsen back in 2020 and since our understanding has improved immensely into the liberation. No-one who was at the liberation of Belsen 80 years ago could ever forget.
We still owe it to these wonderful people to remember them and invite anyone with any relatives who were present during these incredibly harrowing times to get in touch here: liberator@belsen.co.uk

This archive has been established after my own relative, Reg Price, took part in the liberation and subsequent humanitarian effort of Bergen Belsen in April 1945. Reg produced this famous sign at Belsen. As part of the 113th DLI, Reg and his comrades were at Belsen for 5 weeks and left when the last hut was empty and ceremonially burnt down. This archive compiles all available resources to build a lasting tribute to all the men and women who helped - any unit, any nationality.
